How to Play Guide
Playing Mega Millions and Powerball is straightforward, but understanding drawing schedules, ticket purchase options, and add-on multiplier rules is key to submitting valid plays.
1. Select Your Lottery Format
Decide which game you are purchasing tickets for. Each has different pool matrices:
- Mega Millions ($5/play): Choose 5 white numbers (1–70) and 1 gold Mega Ball (1–24).
- Powerball ($2/play): Choose 5 white numbers (1–69) and 1 red Powerball (1–26).
2. Choose Your Numbers
You can fill out a physical playslip at an authorized retailer, purchase online (in state-approved programs), or select the **Quick Pick** option to let the computer randomly select numbers for you.
💡 Tip: Use our "Quick Pick" tab on the main dashboard to generate lines pre-filtered by mathematical averages!
3. Consider Multipliers
- Mega Millions tickets include a built-in multiplier automatically.
- Powerball tickets let you add "Power Play" for an extra $1, which multiplies non-jackpot prizes.
4. Pay and Secure Your Ticket
Pay the retailer and sign the back of your ticket immediately. In the event of a winning combination, the physical signed ticket represents proof of claim. Keep it stored in a safe, cool place.
